Operasional Bus DAMRI di Nias Utara Ditunda Hingga 2025

DATA NIAS | Bus DAMRI yang rencananya akan beroperasi di Kabupaten Nias Utara pada tahun 2024 harus ditunda hingga awal tahun 2025, disebabkan oleh tantangan kekurangan unit bus. Jalur layanan ini mencakup rute dari Gunungsitoli hingga Lahewa dan sebaliknya.

Drs. Folo'ö Hulu, Kepala Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Nias Utara, mengonfirmasi berita ini dan menguraikan bahwa kepastian operasional bus DAMRI di Nias Utara ini telah disampaikan oleh Kepala Balai Pengelola Transportasi Darat Wilayah Sumatra Utara dan Manajer DAMRI Medan, saat mereka melakukan inspeksi terminal Faekhu dan Telukdalam pada tanggal 8 Februari 2024.

"Meski pada tahun 2024 kita mengalami kekurangan unit bus, namun telah dipastikan jalur DAMRI, yakni Lahewa-Gunungsitoli dan Afulu-Lahewa, akan diaktifkan di awal tahun 2025," ungkap Folo'o pada hari Selasa, 19 Maret 2024.

Folo'o juga menambahkan bahwa Pemerintah Daerah akan berupaya sekuat tenaga untuk memastikan bahwa Perusahaan Umum (Perum) DAMRI Medan dapat memulai operasionalnya di Nias Utara pada awal tahun 2025.

DAMRI Bus Operations in North Nias Delayed Until 2025

The DAMRI bus, which was planned to operate in North Nias Regency in 2024, had to be postponed until early 2025 due to challenges of shortage of bus units. This service route covers from Gunungsitoli to Lahewa and vice versa.

Drs. Folo'ö Hulu, Head of the Transportation Department of North Nias Regency, confirmed the news and outlined that the certainty of DAMRI bus operation in North Nias has been conveyed by Head of Land Transportation Management Office of North Sumatra Region and DAMRI Medan Manager, when they inspected Faekhu and Telukdalam terminals on February 8, 2024.

"While in 2024 we experienced a shortage of bus units, it has been confirmed that the DAMRI route, namely Lahewa-Gunungsitoli and Afulu-Lahewa, will be activated in early 2025," Folo'o said on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Folo'o also added that the Local Government will strive as much as possible to ensure that the Public Corporation (Perum) DAMRI Medan can start its operations in North Nias at the beginning of 2025.
