Penemuan Mayat di Sungai Hou, Dugaan Korban Banjir

DIDATA NIAS | Penemuan jasad yang terapung di Sungai Hou, Dusun III Desa Hilifaosi, Kecamatan Bawolato, Kabupaten Nias telah dilaporkan oleh Kapolsek Bawolato, Kompol Benyamin Lase, kepada Kasi Humas Polres Nias, Iptu Osiduhugo Daeli melalui telepon seluler. Setelah proses identifikasi, jasad tersebut teridentifikasi sebagai SN, yang juga dikenal sebagai Ama Irfan (46), seorang penduduk setempat, seperti yang dilaporkan pada hari Rabu (24/4/2024).

Istri korban, Marselina Lafau als Ina Rinus, memberikan keterangan bahwa pada Selasa, 23 April 2024, sekitar pukul 21.00 WIB, dia telah mengabarkan kepada keponakan korban, Masro Nainggolan Alias Ama Rido, bahwa korban SN belum kembali ke rumah sejak pagi hingga malam. Upaya pencarian telah dilakukan oleh masyarakat lokal di sekitar desa dan sungai Hou, namun korban tidak dapat ditemukan.

Pada keesokan harinya, lebih banyak warga meneruskan pencarian. Menurut Kompol Benyamin, sekira pukul 09.30 WIB, warga menemukan mayat korban terapung di Sungai Hou, di lokasi yang sama. Setelah mendapatkan informasi tersebut, personil Polsek Bawolato, yang terdiri dari Bripka Hutabarat, Brigadir Ikuti Gulo, Briptu Hasaro Lase, dan Briptu J. Hutauruk segera mendatangi lokasi kejadian dan membantu mengevakuasi jasad korban, dan membawanya ke rumah keluarganya.

Berdasarkan keterangan dari pihak keluarga, diduga korban terseret arus sungai yang deras saat hendak menyeberang Sungai Hou yang sedang dalam kondisi banjir. Hal ini dimungkinkan mengingat lokasi rumah korban berada di pegunungan dan memerlukan penyeberangan Sungai Hou.

Discovery of bodies in the Hou River, suspected flood victims

The discovery of a body floating in the Hou River, Hamlet III Hilifaosi Village, Bawolato District, Nias Regency was reported by the Bawolato Police Chief, Commissioner Benyamin Lase, to the Head of Public Relations of the Nias Police, Inspector Osiduhugo Daeli via cell phone. After the identification process, the body was identified as SN, also known as Ama Irfan (46), a local resident, as reported on Wednesday (24/4/2024).

The victim's wife, Marselina Lafau als Ina Rinus, stated that on Tuesday, April 23 2024, at around 21.00 WIB, she informed the victim's nephew, Masro Nainggolan Alias ​​Ama Rido, that victim SN had not returned home from morning until evening. Search efforts have been carried out by local communities around the village and the Hou River, but the victim could not be found.

The next day, more residents continued the search. According to Kompol Benyamin, at around 09.30 WIB, residents found the victim's body floating in the Hou River, at the same location. After receiving this information, Bawolato Police personnel, consisting of Brigadier Hutabarat, Brigadier Follow Gulo, Brigadier Hasaro Lase, and Brigadier J. Hutauruk immediately went to the scene and helped evacuate the victim's body, and took it to his family's house.

Based on information from the family, it is suspected that the victim was swept away by the strong river current when he was about to cross the Hou River which was currently in flood condition. This is possible considering the location of the victim's house is in the mountains and requires crossing the Hou River.
