Kepala Lembaga, Harry Hasudungan Simatupang, SH, menekankan pentingnya senam pagi sebagai kegiatan fisik yang penting bagi penghuni. Menurutnya, olahraga seperti ini berdampak positif pada kondisi fisik mereka.

"Senam pagi melibatkan serangkaian gerakan yang berfungsi untuk melatih otot tubuh dan meningkatkan sirkulasi darah, dengan demikian meningkatkan kesehatan dan vitalitas," ungkapnya pada hari Selasa (7/5/2024). "Selain itu, paparan sinar matahari pagi memberikan tubuh vitamin D alami, yang baik untuk kesehatan," tambah Simatupang, menekankan pentingnya kegiatan ini di lembaga pemasyarakatan.

Ia berharap, melalui serangkaian kegiatan positif yang diselenggarakan oleh lembaga pemasyarakatan, termasuk senam pagi, penghuni dapat merasa lebih termotivasi dan melawan perasaan bosan. Tujuannya, tentu saja, adalah untuk memastikan kesehatan penghuni terpelihara sepanjang waktu mereka menjalani hukuman. Kegiatan yang positif ini juga berfungsi sebagai pendorong moral saat mereka menjalani hukuman mereka.

The inmates of the Class IIB Gunungsitoli Penitentiary participate in morning exercise sessions as part of their efforts to maintain their health and physical fitness.

Head of the Institution, Harry Hasudungan Simatupang, SH, emphasized the importance of morning exercise as an important physical activity for residents. According to him, sports like this have a positive impact on their physical condition.

"Morning exercise involves a series of movements that function to train the body's muscles and increase blood circulation, thereby improving health and vitality," he said on Tuesday (7/5/2024). "In addition, exposure to morning sunlight provides the body with natural vitamin D, which is good for health," added Simatupang, emphasizing the importance of this activity in correctional institutions.

He hopes that, through a series of positive activities organized by correctional institutions, including morning exercise, residents can feel more motivated and fight feelings of boredom. The goal, of course, is to ensure the resident's health is maintained throughout the time they serve their sentence. This positive activity also serves as a morale booster as they serve their sentences.
